1972 CORVETTE RESTOMOD UPGRADES AND SERVICES SINCE JAN. 1, 2022

EXHAUST:
Took it to the best exhaust shop in the area.
Removed Super Loud Walker mufflers and welded in Magnaflow, 17 inch Replacement mufflers.
Too quiet. Sounded pure stock. Removed those and weld in Magnaflow, 14 inch mufflers. Perfect Sound.
Replace header collector gaskets.
Ordered and had installed 2 new chrome rectangular tips by Pypes.
 
WIPERS: 
Would not shut off.  Adjust wiper arms and install new wiper switch and new blades.
Repair electric wiper door to open. Loose wire in the harness.
 
HEADLIGHTS AND WIPER COWL DOOR.
Work perfect. Have been upgraded from vacuum systems to electric.
 
TIRES:
Removed Good Years due to age. Tread was 97% still there due to low miles.
Order and install new 17" Continental Radials. Same size. Track tested to prove the best tire in a panic stop from 50 MPH to a Stop on both dry and wet roads.
Softer ride also.
 
ENGINE:
Change oil and filter, VR1 Racing Oil With Zinc. Non synthetic.
Replaced Fram remote Fuel Filter Cartridge.
Purchased and had installed, new NGK Iridium Spark Plugs. Difficult to remove due to ceramic headers, easier with a lift. These are the best spark plugs on the planet and are expensive. Super long lasting too. You should not need to change them until about 2032.
Externally balance the engine. Stroker engines are externally balanced when you buy them but not very well. Same with the 454 big blocks. This one is now Smooth through the RPMs. So, So much better.
 
HOLLEY STEALTH RAM, MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION:
Needs Nothing. Works perfect. Adjusted the throttle cable. This is a $6,000.00 add by the time all is said and done. Set it and forget it. If you want to play with the settings, I wouldnt, but it will need to be updated for programing by Holley. Note: This is not a carburetor trying to be fuel injection. This is real Multi Port High Performance fuel injection system. Bullet proof...
 
5 SPEED TREMEC MANUAL TRANSMISSION:
Needs Nothing. Works perfect.
Replaced racing clutch with a stock Corvette Clutch assembly. Smooth
 
 
SUSPENSION:
Took it to a local shop
ORDERED AND REPLACED THE BUSHINGS IN THE REAR SUSPENSION, BOTH TRAILING ARMS WITH NEW UNITS, OFFSET FOR LARGER TIRES BY VAN STEEL, NEW BUSHINGS FOR TRAILING LINKS TOO., AND ALIGN. BIG JOB 
Later discovered the rear leaf spring bushings needed to be replaced too. Done.
PS. DIFFERENTIAL WAS SENT OUT 3 YEARS AGO AND PRO REBUILT WITH 3.36 POSI.
PERFECT RATIO FOR THIS ENGINE AND TREMEC 5 SPEED.
Now Handles fantastic.
 
AIRCONDITIONING:
RECHARGE THE SYSTEM TO BLOW COLD. HAD BEEN SITTING INSIDE FOR 2- or 3-YEARS PRIOR. Vintage Air is about 4 years old.  Also replace A/C Belt. Works perfect. Gets cold enough to form moisture around the front of the vents. Blower is powerful.
 
ALTERNATOR:
Replace with new chrome unit. Voltage regulator was whining in the old one.
 
INSIDE DAY NIGHT MIRROR:
Replace with new original style. Original was aging.
 
SEAT BELTS:
REMOVE RACE STYLE HARNESS BELTS.  Cumbersome at best.
Ordered and had installed new custom lap belts.
 
INTERIOR LIGHTS:
Car was restored without interior lights. Ordered a custom LED round light and installed on the ceiling. Removable in a second if you need to use the light inside or outside the car. Works better than the original floor lights. It is Battery operated. Should replace the normal batteries every year or two.. Simple to do. Added a Lighted Visor Vanity on the passenger side.
 
OCCASIONAL CLICK, NO START ISSUE.
Removed battery and took to Advanced Auto Parts to have it thoroughly tested. Checked out perfect, Cleaned all battery and ground connections and reinstalled battery.
Problem still persisted. Time for a new high performance starter. Done. New Power Master Mini Starter. Starts better than 1972...
 
STARTER.
Purchased and had installed a new POWER MASTER, high torque mini starter for better header clearance. It actually is listed under their racing starters.
Good for up to 18 to 1 compression ratio engines. #9540 model. Now starts First time, Every time.
 
BODY AND PAINT:
Just spent $1,200.00 at the paint shop fixing cracks around the hood scoop.This was the last thing to be done on my List.  Looks great.
It is in remarkable condition due to inside storage always and low miles. Perfect for local shows but not concourse.
Ordered and installed 3 new racing flags for hood.
Ordered and installed chrome script 1959 Fuel Injection badges for both sides of hood scoop.
Ordered New Custom T-Top Bags with the Year Correct Cross Flags.
Ordered New Corvette Floor Mats.
I needed this car to be local Show Ready and seriously Go Ready.
It is representing our Company.

UNDERNEATH IS EXTRA CLEAN, COOL LOOKING HIGH PERFORMANCE PARTS. NO RUST FOUND ANYWHWERE.
