Wow, freaky rare Real Deal 1970 Chevelle SS454 - LS6, 4 Speed, power steering, power front disc brakes, factory radio with windsheild antenna.
Fully certified by Jerry MacNeish Inspection.
I have never seen another quite like it.
Unrestored and still show quality. Mostly original paint. Absolutely all original drive train, miles claimed to be 65,000 actual.
No Car is 100% original after being used for a driver when purchased new. But this car is Very Close to that!
According to MacNeish the white interior is absolutly 1970 factory original but was supposed to be black according to the Original Cowl Tag.
He suspects an error on the cowl tag. Maybe. But the story that has followed this car forever is that the first buyer was a Woman and she was Not having black interior.
The dealer swapped out the white interior from another new SS and made the deal. There is no documentation on that but sounds plausible.
I worked selling new cars at a Chevy dealership in this era and yes that could have happened.
This car has been around a long time and has always had the white interior so I would not be in a rush to source an all Original black interior to match the cowl tag.
Every car has a story... this one is pretty interesting and I personally am a White Bucket Interior Guy anyway... so I absolutely would not change it.
This rare, certified, Beast is going to sell quick. She's located in Orange, California.
