The year was 1968. The year I would Finally get my drivers license! Being 16 and dreaming of all the adventures that lay ahead, I can tell you I would have Loved to have this all new, 427 Corvette Roadster!
Fortunately for this Corvette that was not to happen. It was delivered to Arthur exactly 1 week after I got my permit and it lived an entirely diiferent life than it would have with a 16 year old hot rodder!
You would not be looking at one of the finest, unmolested, unrestored Surviving Corvettes in the world! Jeff
Chevrolet's Corvette ranks just one notch below immortality on America's list of mechanical achievements and well it should.
Subtlety has never been a characteristic of Barbarellas and it's not to be found in the all-new styling of the '68 Corvette. It's a brutal, masculine looking machine with a shape that suggests a Group 7 sports racer or one of the Le Mans Ferraris when they were winning. The shape doesn't whisper, it bellows Power. The all new '68 Corvette is a 2-door rocket sled! Car and Driver 1968
To make it clear. This is not a restored Corvette. It looks like it but not. It is Original from the factory! Even the 47 year old paint!
You rarely find a Corvette as collectable as this on the open market. They typically go from one major collection to another.
It doesn't matter if you already have a collection or are just starting, a first year C3, 427, 4 speed, two top roadster, triple crown winner, will be your Crown Jewel!
